Trustees
Our role as Trustees is to oversee the leadership and vision of our family of schools and to nurture collaboration between them. We ensure the pupils all benefit from being a part of the Trust with access to joint opportunities such as shared learning, trips and events as well as working with a wider range of peers and teachers.
We are responsible for holding the CEO/Executive Headteacher to account in leadership, vision and values and academic performance in each school.
The Board of Trustees meet 6 times per year (twice-termly).

David was a Deputy Headteacher of a large, high-perforing secondary schools in Cheadle; Kingsway High School. He holds almost 30 years' experience of a governor and has a wealth of experience in school improvement planning, challenge, systems-thinking and smart success criteria.
Hazel Remeika

Hazel was elected as Chair of Governors as Chorlton Park at their first meeting in September 2019. Hazel was confirmed as Chair of Governors and was co-opted onto the Board as Director at the first Board of Directors meeting for the academic year 2019/20 on 08 October 2019.

Stephen has been a co-opted Governor at Rolls Crescent since May 2018 where he is the current Wellbeing Governor. Since January 2020 he has been the HR Chair of the CLIC Finance, Business and Resources Committee. Stephen was also co-opted as Director of the Board on 08 October 2019 at the first Board of Directors Meeting of the academic year 2019/2020.
Stephen grew up in the Blackburn area and moved to Manchester to attend University. He now works as a Human Resources Partner at The University of Manchester and brings experience in recruitment, training, performance management and coaching.
Richard Buckley

Rich was co-opted onto Old Moat's Local Governing Body in January 2018.
Rich grew up in Rochdale before joining the Army and completing a degree in Electrical Engineering. As an Army Officer, Rich held several Engineering Management positions including 2 years with responsibility for technical training and spent time in both the UK and overseas before studying Pashto and working as an interpreter in Afghanistan.
On leaving the military, Rich worked in operations and project management for Walkers Snack Foods (part of PepsiCo) at their Skelmersdale factory before spending 3 years working in PepsiCo's European Nutrition supply chain team working with several brands including Tropicana & Quaker. Rich currently leads the Manufacturing Excellence agenda for PepsiCo in the UK.
Rich was elected as Chair of the Trust for the academic year of 2019/2020 on 08 October 2019 by his fellow Directors.
Elizabeth Jayne

Elizabeth has previously worked for Rochdale Education Authority and the Public Health Service in Sheffield then Salford. She has been running her own successful management consultancy business for 14 years. Elizabeth has 16 years’ experience as a governor and has a solid understanding of school business. She holds the portfolio of HR, ensuring that appraisal is robust.
Gavin White

Gavin is a Councillor in Old Moat ward, Constituency Assistant to Jeff Smith MP and a qualified Architect. He is a Church Leader/Charity Trustee at the King’s Church, Manchester and his work includes helping with various homeless projects in the City, operational/staff management and organisational development and governance with 3 local charities in Manchester. He is also involved with many community groups in Old Moat and Withington.
Gavin is currently the Chair of the Finance Committee and has a commitment to transforming Old Moat.
